Description:
Central Highlands Regional Council (CHRC) is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to provide waste facility site clean-up, vegetation maintenance, and material transport services across multiple landfill and transfer station locations within the CHRC local government area.This contract involves a range of scheduled and ad hoc services, including but not limited to:- Waste collection, loading, and transport to landfill (e.g., steel, concrete, whitegoods, green waste);- Vegetation control through slashing, mowing, and herbicide application;- Creation and maintenance of fire breaks and access tracks;- Waste push-up and material handling activities on-site.Contract Period:Initial term of 12 months with the possibility of up to two (2) 12-month extensions (1+1+1).Location of Services:Services are to be delivered across various Council waste facilities, including rural and remote sites such as:Lochlees Landfill (Emerald)Blackwater, Springsure, Capella, Rolleston, Tieri, Duaringa and other designated CHRC waste sites.Timing: Contract is expected to commence on 1 July 2025.Delivery Method: This is a site-based services contract. Services must be delivered on-site and are not suitable for remote or off-site delivery.Council encourages submissions from local and regional suppliers, including those with demonstrated capacity to mobilise across geographically dispersed locations.
