Description:
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC / Council) has received funding approval for the replacement of the Branchview Road Bridge. Council intends to replace the existing timber bridge, on a new alignment and construct a new two span concrete bridge. The bridge is located approximately 40km west of Pittsworth on Branchview Road and spans the Condamine River (North Branch).Council wishes to procure services of an experienced piling contractor to undertake driving of 16 (550mm Octagonal) prestressed, reinforced concrete piles.The works to be undertaken include pile driving of 16 x 550mm Octagonal Prestressed Concrete Piles as specified in Council-s Issued for Construction Branchview Road Bridge Replacement structural drawings. These included central piers (6, 18m piles), Abutment A (5, 16m piles) and Abutment B (5, 15m piles). Piles are to be installed during May 2025 so the cast in-situ concrete substructure elements can be commenced in June 2025.The successful Contractor will be required to work efficiently to complete the piling and associated works. Works are to be completed in accordance with MRTS65, including all requirements for their correct handling, installation and testing. The Contractor will be responsible for loading, handling, setout/survey, driving and testing of piles.
