- Toowoomba Regional Council (Council) requires lifting equipment to be inspected, tested and tagged in accordance with legislative and Australian Standard (AS) requirements. In addition to this requirement, Council requires the Supplier to remove, destroy and replace items which have failed inspections.A register of Council-s lifting equipment is to be developed and maintained by the supplier and forwarded to Council electronically after each round of testing as per the legislative and AS requirements.The following listed equipment is examples of the items to be recorded and inspected, however is notexhaustive:• Confined space entry tripods;• Confined space entry retrieval systems; - (inspection and annual manufacturers certification (e.g. Winches personnel) - (inspection and annual manufacturers certification (e.g. Winches - material)• Confined space barriers;• Davits;• Endless chain / blocks;• Fall arrest belts, harnesses, lanyards and accessories (karabiners, rope grabs etc.);• Fibre ropes (including tag lines and life lines);• Flexible steel wire rope (FSWR);• Inertia reels;• Lifting chains and chain slings;• Lifting trolleys;• Swift lifts for lifting head walls;• Shackles;• Vehicle trolley jacks;• Vehicle jack stands; and• Webbing slings.
