- *********Invitation to participate in a Test and Evaluation Industry Webinar ******** The Defence Industry Development Strategy and the accompanying Sovereign Defence Industry Priority 7 - Test, Evaluation, Certification and Systems Assurance were released in 2024. Ahead of their release, Industry had submitted welcome feedback during 2022 and 2023 on possible industry partnership models and had contributed generously to analysis of the Test and Evaluation Workforce and Infrastructure. The Defence Test and Evaluation Strategy remains active and Horizon 2 is well underway. Nevertheless, there is an obligation to check it remains aligned with the newer Strategy and Priority documents and that work has commenced. Defence wishes to encourage initiatives and investment in Test, Evaluation, Certification and Systems Assurance by cooperating more closely with industry. It is clear that an innovative, resilient and competitive defence industrial base creates a stronger and more secure Australia. The subject webinar will include a briefing on planned engagements with industry during FY2025-2026 through which Defence will implement its vision for better cooperation.
