Somerset Regional Council (SRC) is seeking to engage an appropriately experienced Contractor(incorporating a team of all necessary sub-consultants and sub-contractors) for the provision of the fullrange of design and construction services required for the detailed design and construction of theToogoolawah Swimming Pool Upgrade (TSPU).The facility is located at Factory Road, Toogoolawah. It is understood to have originally opened in 1975and currently consists of a 25m lap pool and toddler/wading pool; with a splashpad/waterplay areabeing constructed in 2022.SRC has previously undertaken an options analysis of the current facility and in turn developed a detailedconcept design package (‘The Concept-) for the project. The project is expected to take the form of astaged redevelopment, with delivery of this phase to consist of the following:- Stage 1:New compliant 25 m x 8-lane lap pool with associated plant room and removal of wading pool.Works for Stage 1 of the project will include demolition of the existing 25m pool, wading pool,concourses, equipment room structure, shade structure and drawoff tank, with construction of the new25m x 8 lane lap pool including balance tank and disabled access ramp, filtration plant, heating plantand sanitation system; a new equipment room and driveway; a new roof structure over the pool andother shade sail structures to grassed areas; new concourses with new stairway and ramp accessing thegym; landscaping and mains services where required.All co...
