- A senior football club currently operates at Weston Bears Park. Current facilities include a full-size soccer field, a grandstand, spectator seats and an open, unformed area at the entrance for car parking. The current grandstand and site facilities are aging and cannot satisfy the needs of the club for training and holding the semi-professional level events and competitions associated with the club.Construction includes refurbishments to the existing grandstand, new amenities buildings which will include unisex changerooms, equipment store, club room with canteen/bar, first aid, strength and conditioning room, and formalised landscaping and carparking. The construction works will address current access and capacity issues, and aim to address the following objectives: • Provide a football facility that is fit for purpose for the community, improving function and amenity of the site; • Provide a facility that will allow for broader participation in recreation and social activities for people with disability and women and girls; • Deliver a facility to meets the sporting and social needs of the community and allows for growth; • Increase the field availability for training, games and tournaments; • Provide increased social and economic benefits for the club by creating a new destination venue with increased opportunities for events; and • Increase the number of visitors to the area, and increase tourism opportunities ****MANDATORY PRE TENDER SITE INSPECTION****11.00am, Tuesday ...
