The selected artist will collaborate closely with the Council's project team, ensuring that the artistic wayfinding and welcome signs align with the broader vision for St Marys Town Centre. The artist will also work with local stakeholders, including St Marys Town Centre Corporation, local businesses and residents, to ensure that the artwork resonates with the community and enhances the sense of place. This collaboration ensures the designs reflect the community's values, cultural heritage, and aspirations, contributing to a thriving and connected urban hub. Project Objectives Enhance Visual Identity: Create unique, culturally resonant wayfinding and welcome signs that reflect the history and diversity of St Marys Town Centre, strengthening its visual identity. Foster Community Engagement: Develop signs that resonate with local residents and businesses, fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging exploration within the town. Support Placemaking Efforts: Contribute to the overall placemaking strategy by enhancing the visitor experience and promoting accessibility and inclusivity in the town centre.
