- Snowy Monaro Regional Council implements a program of works intended to improve safety on a number of roads within the region.This scope of works covers 4.7km of Smiths Road, from the ACT border to Contour Road and CH 3.49km to CH 4.74km heading South. There is a possibility to increase this length to a final 6.4km subject to available budget and tender responses.The Smiths Road safety upgrade works include pavement improvements and reconstruction, sealing of the unsealed section of road including, road widening, stormwater improvements including culverts and table drains, sealing works and signage.Implementation TimetableTender Release: February 2025Contract Award: March 2025Construction Works: April - October 2025Defects Liability Period: 12 Months from practical completion acceptance.
