Description:
The Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Seeker Technology Development Program (TDP) aims to collaborate with Lead Industry Partner(s) and a network of Australian small and medium enterprises (SMEs), working alongside DSTG. Together, they will design, develop, and produce a prototype for an operationally effective seeker for future GWEO systems, with an initial focus on developing seeker subsystem for Low-Cost Loitering Munitions (LCLM) under the LCLM Seeker TDP. The Commonwealth plans to commence a Seeker Design Study in Q3 2025 as the first phase of this program. The Seeker Design Study may award up to two contracts to develop a detailed proposal for the conceptual design and development plan for a Low Cost Loitering Munition Seeker subsystem. The design study results will be used by Defence to develop a work package for the Seeker Prototype Development under the LCLM Seeker TDP. The Commonwealth intends to invite the Seeker Design Study participants to take part in a Request for Tender. The tender responses will be assessed against an evaluation criteria, with one entity being awarded a longer-term contract focused on Seeker Prototype Development under the LCLM Seeker TDP.
