Description:
The Scope of Works under this RFT aims to complete a total of 7.7km of 2.5m wide of shared path.The project will deliver a mix of asphalt concrete and concrete pathways that are predominantly separated from traffic on shared pathways or on-road separated cycle paths.The new construction of 7.7km of shared path is included in this works package. Council has supplied Issued for Tender Design Drawings for the new sections of work, included as Attachment A - IFT Drawings (Attachment A1 - Section B+C Issue D; Attachment A2 - Section D issue B & Attachment A3 - Section E issue F). The desired outcome of this RFT is to enter into a Lump Sum Contract with an appropriately experienced Contractor for the Construction of the new Shared Pathway.A Non-Compulsory Pre-Tender Briefing will be held at Wagga Wagga City Council Chambers on Thursday 30th January 2025 commencing at 11AM.Wagga Wagga City Council (Council) has identified a need to improve cycling infrastructure, corridors and networks and established the “Active Travel Plan”. The Wagga Wagga Active Travel Plan forms part of The City of Wagga Wagga-s Integrated Transport Strategy (WWITS).The entire Active Travel Plan (ATP) project when completed will deliver 42 kms of cycleways that connect to 3 kms of existing cycleway, providing a 45 km network linking residential parts of the city with the CBD and other key destinations, such as the University.
