- Requested Servicesi. Council is seeking tenders for Recycling Processing Services in accordance with the requirements of section 55 of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW). ii. The Recycling Processing Services are sought for a Services Term of eleven (11) years.iii. Further important information on the Tendering requirements is set out in the Conditions of Tender.1.4 Agreement may be awardedi. The proposed contract for which Tenders are being sought under this RFT is an Agreement in respect of the Recycling Processing Services.ii. Accordingly, in exercising Council-s obligation under the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021 to decide at the end of the RFT process to accept a Tender which appears to it to be most advantageous or decline to accept any Tenders., Council intends to resolve whether to enter into an Agreement in respect of the Recycling Processing Services.iii. The initial Services Term will be eleven (11) years with possible extensions as detailed in the Conditions of Contract. Council-s objectivesCouncil-s overarching objectives for the Services, the Agreement and this RFT process are as follows:i. to ensure that the Services are delivered in a manner that is effective, flexible, efficient, safe, economical and sustainable;ii. to ensure that the Services are able to adapt to changes in industry standards, respond to technological advances and reflect community expectations; iii. to achieve sustainable systems of waste management services and to encourage th...
