- Council is exploring the hire of metered standpipes for use within the Townsville City Council Local Government Area boundariesThe preferred supplier will be required to supply and maintain, at all-time a stock level of 200 metered standpipes with GPS capabilities to:• Ensure metered standpipes identification;• Provide monthly metered standpipes reading; • Locate the metered standpipe and establish where and when the standpipe has been utilised; and• Provide Geo-fencing add-ons with the ability to prevent the use outside the Local Government area.The preferred supplier will be also responsible for the provision of timely repair and maintenance servicing of the entire metered standpipes fleet.
