Description:
Gladstone Regional Council (GRC) undertakes programmed inspections of sewer mains throughout the region in accordance with WSA 05:2020 Conduit Inspection Reporting Code of Australia. Once the inspections are finalised, an engineering assessment and management of the data is completed.The outcome of this assessment and data management services is in the form of a condition rating and works programs for both renewals (i.e. relining) and remedials (i.e. localised) repairs.Currently throughout Boyne Island, Calliope, Gladstone and Tannum Sands there is approximately thirteen thousand, two hundred (13200) sewer gravity main assets throughout the networks of various diameters, length, material and age that collect sanitary flows from the catchment and divert it ultimately to Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP-s) throughout the Gladstone Region.The condition of these assets varies depending on the above properties, with some being considered ‘like new- (previously renewed or recently installed) or alternatively those that have been identified to require renewal (either minor or major) due to a range of defects that impact the structure and serviceability of the asset.GRC is seeking to appoint a Preferred Supplier to complete Council-s annual program of sewer main renewal works for up to three (3) years. Years two (2) and three (3) of the contract are provisional, and GRC gives no guarantee of years 2 and 3 works or value/volume of the works for years 2 and 3.
