It is estimated that ASEAN countries need up to $1.5tn insustainable investments by 2030. A significant proportion of financing willneed to be generated within the region by mobilizing institutional investors.Although APAC accounts for up to 20% of over $420tn global financial assets and$120tn AUM, less than 2% is in sustainable investments — representing a majoruntapped opportunity. IFC is seeking aConsulting Firm to help identify, map, and analyze leading private domestic andforeign institutional investors — like insurance companies, pension funds,endowment funds, asset managers, philanthropic organizations, family offices,sovereign wealth funds, large banks and other institutional private capitalpools — across key markets in East Asia (Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore,Japan, Korea, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Vietnam)and South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal). This initiative will strengthen IFC-s catalytic role inprivate sector mobilization, unlock new funding streams, and acceleratesustainable investment flows into APAC.
