- Power and Water Corporation (Power and Water) is a government-owned corporation that meets the needs of its customers while acknowledging the expectations of its shareholder, the Treasurer of the Northern Territory Government. Power and Water provides electricity, water and sewerage services to five major urban areas including the capital city of Darwin, as well as 72 remote Aboriginal communities and 66 outstations through its 100% owned subsidiary, Indigenous Essential Services Pty Ltd (IES). Power and Water also supplies gas to the Territory-s major power stations.Power and Water is also the first Northern Territory Government-owned Corporation to develop and implement a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in accordance with Reconciliation Australia-s vision for organisations to contribute to the reconciliation of the nation.
