Description:
P4I is an Australian Government initiative, financed through Official Development Assistance, which commenced in January 2021. It supports improved infrastructure development through partnerships with Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam and ASEAN. P4I-s overarching goal is “quality infrastructure that drives sustainable, inclusive and resilient growth in Southeast Asia”. Phase 2 of P4I is part of a broader suite of initiatives aimed at lifting Australia-s engagement on infrastructure in the region, including the $2 billion Southeast Asia Investment Financing Facility, the creation of investment Deal Teams and the continued expansion of Australia-s blended finance investments. P4I Phase 2 will be up to $195 million over 5 years with a possible extension of up to 5-years. More detail is provided in the Investment Concept Note, Attachment 2.
