Description:
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a supplier to deliver detailed methodology guidance for the estimation and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from Australian agricultural enterprises (excluding Land Use, Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) source and sinks). The supplier will develop the following : 1. Detailed methods for estimating Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions (excluding LULUCF source and sinks). 2. List of key activity data required to estimate emissions and acceptable/verifiable sources of this data. 3. Guidance to support consistent data collection, application of methods and documentation 4. Appropriate quality control checks to support detection of errors in data inputs 5. Other methods to support implementation of accounting and reporting requirements as provided by the department. The aim of the methodology guidance is to support farmers, agricultural advisors and GHG calculator and accounting tool developers to consistently estimate and report emissions. The expected outcomes of this work are improvements in GHG accounting at the farm level and in the quality and consistency of accounting methods and tools available in Australia.
