Description:
Mackay Regional Council requires an experienced Contractor for the construction of a new trunk water main replacement. The scope of work includes the supply and installation of:• new trunk water main,630mm diameter, PE100 SDR9 approximately 703 meters in length; • enveloper pipe 900mm diameter PE100 SDR11, approximately 214 meters in length;• connections to the to the existing reticulation infrastructure;• supplying and installing new valves and hydrants;• decommissioning existing watermain; and• restoring work areas, footpaths, and grassed areas to their original condition.The new water main will begin in the recreational reserve, run approximately parallel to the walking path, and terminate at Evans Street. Construction will involve both open trench excavation and underground Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
