- Penrith City Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractor, with an extensive background in Civil and Landscapes, to deliver the construction services for a new pedestrian pathway along Factory Rd and surrounding Streets in Jamisontown.This project will deliver• Increased usage of the Nepean River Precinct demands accessible routes from major population centres.• Currently there are existing shared paths on Mulgoa Road, Jamison Road and Tench Avenue.• Missing link in this network is from Glenmore Park to Nepean River along Factory Road.• This missing link complements the current upgrade of Mulgoa Rd by TfNSW• This missing link is approx. 1.9kmThe successful consultant will work with Council officers to:• 3m wide shared path along Factory Road, Spencer Street, Loftus Street, Bundarra Road and Cross Road - Approx. 1.9km• Safe pedestrian & cyclist crossing points:- Spencer/Gibbes St,- Spencer/Loftus St,- Loftus St/Factory Rd- Factory/Bundarra Rd• Footpath connection between the existing carpark at end of Factory Road to the new shared path• Pavement widening and new Kerb & Gutter• Relocation of 21 power poles with alignment• Stormwater drainage improvement• Streetlighting improvement• Tree planting and landscaping
