This notice provides information on the status of the EST02060 Garden Island Defence Precinct (GIDP) Sub-Program, Sydney, NSW, Chowder Bay Defence Fuel Installation (Maritime) (DFI(M)) (the Project) and the Department of Defence's current intentions in relation to the Project. This notice is for the purposes of informing industry that Defence is withdrawing EST02060-GIDP-Chowder Bay Early Contractor Involvement Head Contract - Notice of Potential Upcoming Procurement, published on AusTender on 18 July 2025. It is still the Commonwealth-s intention to procure a works contractor for works at Chowder Bay under the Project. However, the timing and engagement model of any future procurement related to the Project is being further considered by the Commonwealth. Any future planned procurements will be notified on AusTender. However, this notice is not a procurement and does not guarantee that any future approach to market will actually be undertaken (nor about the form or timing of any such approach), and similarly does not represent a guarantee of works in any format. The Commonwealth shall not bear any liability for any costs or losses incurred by potential respondents as a result of this notice or any change in Defence-s requirements. Parties interested in the Project should regulary check AusTender for updates, where all official information about any future procurement will be published.
