Mid West Ports Authority (Mwpa) Is Inviting Expressions Of Interest (Eoi) From Organisations And/Or Other Interested Parties To Lease And Develop A Key Strategic, 4.55 Hectare Site Within The Port Of Geraldton-S Special Use (Su4) Zone And Adjacent To The Port Of Geraldton-S Minerals Storage Area For Activities Supporting The Existing And Future Port Cargo Operations And To Support Increased Economic Activity In The Mid West Region. The Site Is Located In Close Proximity To The Key Common User Bulk Handling Facilities Of The Port, Including Multiuser Ship-Loader And Conveyor Systems, Train Receival And Supporting Facilities. Options To Connect The Site Directly To The Operating Berth Systems To Support High Volume Operations Are Feasible.The Objective Of The Eoi Is To Identify Interested Parties And To Determine The Optimal Long-Term Lessee(S) For The Site With A View To: Allow Development Of The Land For The Provision Of Efficient And Effective Bulk Storage And Handling Services;Support Bulk Export And/Or Import Supply Chains By Improving Connections To The Mwpa Common User Port Infrastructure; Support The Provision Of Services To Exporters And/Or Importers Using The Port Of Geraldton; Andsupport And Generate Economic Activity For The Mid West Region.Interested Parties Can Submit Proposals For A Portion Or The Whole Of The Site, Depending On Their Specific Requirements And Proposed Use Or Activities.
