Description:
Background The Department of Health, Disability, and Ageing has commissioned the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia to develop 2025 Clinical Guidelines for the Early Detection of Prostate Cancer (the draft Guidelines), as an update to the 2016 clinical practice guidelines for PSA testing and early management of test-detected prostate cancer. Draft Guidelines have been developed and are yet to be approved by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). To guide the economic evaluation, Cancer Australia has established a Prostate Cancer Screening Economic Evaluation Steering Committee (the Committee). The Committee comprises of members with health economics, clinical and cancer policy and screening expertise, and will provide strategic and expert advice on the scope of the project, including model design, data sources and other model inputs, interpretation of model outputs, and proposed scenario and sensitivity analyses. The Supplier will be expected to engage with Cancer Australia and the Committee regularly throughout the project. Scope of requirements Cancer Australia is seeking the services of a suitably qualified Supplier with demonstrated expertise in health economic evaluations to undertake an economic evaluation of prostate cancer screening, including recommendations in the draft Guidelines.
