Description:
Blue Mountains City Council (Council) seeks to engage a suitably qualified construction contractor to undertake the construction of safety upgrades along Old Bathurst Road, Blaxland, as part of the Black Spot Program. We invite contractors with expertise in civil construction, traffic management, landscaping, and road safety infrastructure installation, as well as proven experience in delivering urban and rural road safety projects, to submit a response to this Request for Tender (RFT).Responses from a consortium of contractors should explicitly identify the lead contractor who will engage in the agreement with the Council and oversee client-side project management, including managing the coordination, quality, scope, budget, invoicing, and timelines of sub-contractors. The Council recommends appointing a civil construction contractor as the lead, partnering with reputable firms specializing in landscaping, traffic management, and safety barrier installation. The RFT submission should detail the proposed structure of the project team and outline how the different disciplines will collaborate and contribute throughout the project-s duration.This Construction Brief specifies two separable portions—Old Bathurst Road - West (OBR - West) and Old Bathurst Road - East (OBR - East)—to be delivered simultaneously.
