Description:
The Sorghum Shed Is A Bulk Storage Facility Constructed In 1980 Located Within Port Lands, 200M From The Broome Wharf. The Shed Is A Steel Portal Framed Structure Approximately 3500M2 In Size With Steel Girts, Purlins And Metal Cladding And Features An Underground Tunnel Containing Below-Ground Conveyor Systems And An External Overhead Conveyor Linking The Elevator Loading Tower To The Tripper Conveyor Within The Shed. The Elevated Loading Tower And External Overhead Conveyor Were Demolished In November 2024 To Assist With The Construction Of The Kmsb Floating Wharf Project.The Kimberley Ports Authority Is Seeking A Suitable Experienced Contractor To Demolish The Sorghum Shed As Outlined In The Principals Project Requirement Document.
