Description:
Tamworth Regional Council is seeking a suitably qualified contractor to undertake the works required for the replacement of noncompliant rough stock yards at the Barraba Showground rodeo arena. This project aims to upgrade the existing facilities to meet all necessary safety and operational standards.The current rough stock yards at the rodeo arena in Barraba Showground have been identified as noncompliant with the necessary safety and operational standards. As a result, there is an urgent need to replace these facilities to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants, livestock, and spectators.To address this issue, Tamworth Regional Council has successfully secured funding through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) program, provided by the government. This funding will facilitate the upgrade of the rough stock yards at Barraba Showground, ensuring they meet all required standards and regulations.The scope of this project includes the supply and installation of new compliant rough stock yards, designed to enhance the functionality and safety of the rodeo arena. By upgrading these facilities, we aim to support the continued success of community events held at Barraba Showground.The timely completion of this project by 31 May 2025 is essential as part of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) funding requirements.
