Description:
The purpose of this Approach to Market (ATM) is to engage a vendor to provide automotive data regarding the Australian light vehicle market, with reference to the operation of the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard Act 2024 (‘NVES Act-). In particular, the data provided under the procurement will relate to : • the effectiveness of the NVES Act in reducing CO2 emissions of the Australian light vehicle fleet, • the impact of the NVES Act on the automotive industry, including fleet analysis by sales, registrations, price movements and impact on CO2 emissions, • demand related data relating to the impact of the NVES Act on consumers, including total cost of ownership of vehicles, • technological advancements, including the rate of innovation and adoption of new vehicle technology, • alignment with international vehicle emissions standards and targets, • NVES regulatory compliance and enforcement, relating to fines, penalties, and sanctions for non-compliance. The initial period of the contract is to be for one year, with two subsequent single-year options.
