Description:
For the past few years, Oberon Council has contracted an external asset management consultant to control, plan and advise on asset management requirements. This partnership has resulted in a loss of knowledge on the true status of assets throughout the Oberon Council LGA. A project is now underway to recruit appropriate staffing and obtain software to support the return of asset management internally. Areas of specific focus include, by order of importance: Timely asset condition records Better maintenance and defect data capture Appropriate financial reporting Improved confidence in data for revaluations and capitalisation Indexation functionality Support planning and forecasting capabilities This request for proposal is looking to assist council in implementing a new asset management program to be used in house. The appointed software provider will be required to implement the software including data migration, training and ongoing help desk requirements to ensure the software achieves the legislative, governance, asset management and unique qualities that Oberon has to offer.
