Description:
Redland City Council is seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for the supply and laying of asphalt, seal bitumen road surfacing and associated works to road surfaces at various locations across Redland City. The scope of the Works is to remove and re-instate the existing asset surface as required, and to prepare and provide a suitable trafficable surface which would not cause any skid resistance issues, particularly in wet conditions, and to add longevity to the asset lifespan. This progressive asset maintenance regime is a cornerstone of RCC-s overall asset improvement program.It is the intention of RCC that any contract resulting from this RFP shall be for a term of three years with the option to extend for up to an additional period of two (2) periods of up to 12 months each. The details as to how any such extension is to be granted are contained in the attached proposed Contract (Part C). For the avoidance of doubt, the term Contract includes the Preferred Supplier Deed, General Conditions of Contract and annexures.
