- The Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator-s (ASCA) mission is to accelerate the development and transition of asymmetric capabilities to the Australian Defence Force through innovation, in order to meet Defence priority needs. ASCA's Pitch Days provide industry and academia the opportunity to present their ideas to Defence, ensuring Defence remains aware of new capabilities and innovations. This advance notice is for the first of two Pitch Days in 2026, which will be a Request For Information (RFI) on new capabilities and innovations that ensure resilient command and control (C2). C2 refers to the process and means for the exercise of authority over, and lawful direction of, assigned forces. Submissions describing such capabilities and innovations—dubbed 'solutions'—must address Challenge Statements that fall under this theme of 'Resilient C2'. Respondents to the RFI that submit promising solutions (as assessed by a panel of Defence subject matter experts) will be invited to pitch to an audience of senior Defence officials, other valued guests and members of the broader defence ecosystem at the Pitch Day event, to be hosted at the Australian Defence Science, Technology and Research Summit (ADSTAR) 2026 at Adelaide, in August. Further information on this upcoming RFI, including the Challenge Statements, assessment criteria and Pitch Day event, will be made available from March 2026.
