Description:
The playground is a District level playground within the broader Howard Dawson Reserve, Burke Road, Glen Iris. It is proposed to redevelop the playground to improve its play offer and ease of maintenance. Although the project will involve the demolition of a significant amount of the playground it will also include the retention and refurbishment of a number of selected, existing playground elements. The project will introduce new proprietary and custom play items, new surfaces and drainage and will create a new play experience. The tender program anticipates contract signing to allow for play equipment supply lead-in times and commencement of construction on site in February 2026.
